What is Muscle Testing aka Applied Kinesiology?

Muscle Testing (aka Applied Kinesiology) is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body in order to determine the underlying source of imbalance which are causing symptoms. When these are corrected, and the interference is removed,  the body can self correct and repair itself by reducing inflammation, improving immune, and eliminating symptoms because the body is working the way it was meant to! Muscle testing helps us to determine a customized holistic health, nutrition, and naturopathic treatment plan for your unique body to restore normal function.

Muscle testing only works if it’s done correctly

That’s why many people feel skeptical—maybe you’ve tried it before, or you’ve seen someone else do it, and it seemed vague, random, or unconvincing. That’s because most people doing it don’t fully understand how to get the right read. Read below to find out what can affect the Muscle Testing accuracy and results.

Why other practitioners frequently “fail” at Muscle Testing and why we maintain our accurate results

Here’s what sets our process apart.

If the practitioner performing the muscle testing is neurogenically blocked or switched, they can’t accurately test anyone—period. This happens more often than you’d think. We check ourselves every single day before testing to make sure our own nervous system has “open regulation” and is not blocked or switched to ensure accurate results.

But YOU can also be switched or blocked.

If your body is blocked or neurologically reversed, we won’t get an accurate response until we first identify and address that issue as a priority. We know how to find these interference patterns and clear them before testing anything else—because if we don’t, the testing will give “wrong answers”.

That’s also why people who “muscle test” with a simple strong/weak check often walk away feeling confused and not getting results. It’s not that muscle testing doesn’t work. It’s that they weren’t doing it right.

You also have to know how to put the body in priority mode.

That means we set your system to show us what’s most important to address first—because otherwise, the body might show secondary or downstream problems and miss the real root, again giving us “wrong answers”. If your practitioner doesn’t know how to access “priority mode”, you’ll chase surface-level issues with wrong supplements and miss what’s actually causing your symptoms.

A simple “strong/weak” arm test is not enough.

That’s like putting a stethoscope on the heart to figure out what’s wrong with your kidneys. The tools might be real, but they’re not being used correctly.

This is why our muscle testing method is so different—and why we get results when others don’t.

How Does the Muscle Testing "Work"?

Muscle Testing, in our Scottsdale Wellness Center, analyzes the different points on the surface of the body that relate to each and every organ and function of the body. These reflex areas are contacted with light pressure by hand. With the other hand, the muscle of your extended arm is tested for "strength" or a lock.  If the reflex being contacted is “active”, aka something is interfering with it's function causing inflammation or symptoms, the nervous system will respond by reducing energy to the extended arm, and the arm will weaken and it won't be able to lock.

The “Personalized Health Program”

Let’s say the adrenals or heart tests "weak", indicating there is interference or inflammation. Then what? Our next step is to test specific nutritional supplement formulas, based on what shows up to create a "strong" response against those weak areas.  

We use specific whole food ancestral based and herbal supplementation combined with nutritional adjustments and lifestyle changes in order to eliminate the underlying source of the interference, inflammation, dysfunction, & imbalance, so that the body can get back to working the way it was meant to and you get lasting relief!   

A Complete Analysis

A new body scan is done on each subsequent visit. Often these reveal additional layers of dysfunction.  These can then be addressed in the correct sequence for your body and that’s how each person gets a completely individualized program. 

How are These Supplements Produced?

1. These nutrients are derived from plants grown on their own farms, in soil free from pesticides – and no chemicals are ever used. Ph.Ds check the soil before the seeds are sown, to make sure of the fertility of the soil – and even the weeding is done by hand.
2. The machinery involved in the processing of these products is made of glass and stainless steel only.
3. The temperature used in processing harvested plants is never raised above the point of 90 degrees Fahrenheit, so that the active ingredients are not cooked and killed. They remain active and alive with a stable shelf life.

Why We Use Muscle Testing Instead of Labs/Bloodwork

We recommend you doing labs and blood work through your MD to rule out any urgent or serious conditions.

We don’t do labs or blood work for what we do here because even though blood work can tell you if something is abnormal or malfunctioning in the body, it can’t tell you WHY. The type of testing we do gives us the WHAT and the WHY so that we can address the actual source instead of trying to squash the problem without fixing why it’s happening. We don't need the information in labs or bloodwork because it does not help us to fix what we find and also, we find what the body needs that won't show up in labs!

Also you need a 60% degradation in most cases for blood work to show abnormal whereas this testing shows us dysfunction at 5% degradation. You can have symptoms before showing abnormal labs because people are feeling symptoms sooner on the disease chain before it will show up in labs.

Most of the people we have helped over the years were helped by what we were able to find that did not show up in their labs!
