One of my favorite things is to help people get off these antidepressants and anti anxiety meds (not without doctor approval) by fixing the underlying cause of these symptoms that mimic depression or anxiety. So many things can be causing symptoms that FEEL like depression or anxiety and then you go to the doctor and they agree with that diagnosis and stick you on meds because it’s easier than trying to figure out what’s causing it.
Can there be legitimate depression or anxiety due to circumstances in your life? Loss? Stress? Yes, of course. Do you need to necessarily take meds for that? In most cases, no. There are alternatives and supplements for legitimate emotional situations that are EXCELLENT.
Most people don’t realize that anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds are meant for SHORT TERM USE and end up on them for 10+ years which is very dangerous for your nervous system and causes a myriad of symptoms and immune disruption. Plus, they are addictive!
